Work in Progress

The word ‘blog’ is a shorthand version of the word weblog. Aptly named because of the similarity to a logbook or journal. These new forms of digital media were often used to document work in progress.

Over time personal blogs became less about documenting one’s work and life, or personal expression and more about trying to build an audience to monetise.

This blog won’t be one of those. It will be more like those earlier blogs. It will be a place for me to express the thoughts and ideas that pique my interest.

It won’t be polished. And I give myself permission, to be honest, to be wrong, and to contradict myself. I also give myself permission to change my mind because that is the goal.

This is a way for me to capture, document and evidence the work in progress, as I continue to make sense of the world and my place in it.
