A moment of gratitude

I worked in bars and restaurants and coffee shops for 12 years.

Being a very introverted person in a very people-facing role was good for me, but it was draining. I needed a change.

Today, I'm in the exact situation I dreamed of being in all those years ago. I'm doing something creative. I work mostly in silence. I get to work from home in a space of my own.

I don't stop and reflect on this often enough. At that point in my life, I really saw no way out, but here I am, in a situation I’d only dreamed of.

So today, I'm taking a moment to express some gratitude for my being here.
